The differences between King & Vickery - He did not use Injury as an excuse for poor performance

either way you look at it both have performed poorly apart from the odd game in kings case.
why would a club needing to get games into kids persevere with average underperforming players who are injured for so long who need ops.

Who was King keeping out of the side exactly? Maric? Verrier?... :(
They refrained from putting KIng on ice because he sets the bloody standard for intensity and attack on the ball in an already very young side. The young players that are playing 1's can learn from that.

If Kingy was playing injured and keeping out a talented young player who is knocking on the door at Coburg then that is different. But we are already gifting games to kids who aren't really ready (O'Hanlon, Helbig), and plenty of players need post-season operations. Jack will probably need another few. Should we rest him too?
We are already being badly exposed by injuries. We cant afford to lose any more experienced, hard players. Unless you want to get flogged every week which does absolutely nothing for development.
