Future Punt Road Developments
« on: April 21, 2013, 10:05:07 PM »
Im sorry I couldnt be bothered looking for the right thread, Im feeling pretty stuffed to be honest but I was listening to a bit of the prematch and I think Benny Gale said something along the lines of that we were looking at developing some sort of medical facility as the next stage or Punt Road redevelopment. Does anyone know any more because I didnt have much time over the weekend and I didnt hear the whole thing.

Don't be so sure

Benny Gale was on crunch time on SEN and he was asked about it. Said it was interesting and that they are willing to listen to what the AFL have got to say and propose but it has to make good business sense on a number of levels. Pointed out that alot of work and money has gone into bringing up to its current standard and that is also a consideration.

I took out of it that if the financial side of things is good for the club they will consider it

My apologies if it was gary march ... Ive been real busy lately and havent been concentrating real well either. Anyway I think its interesting that we are getting to the stage where we are talking about developing a medical facility - probably building it and then renting out the rooms to doctors and specialists. The club seems to humming along real well. I like the ambition thats being shown.
