Hird needs to remember Essendon along with the other clubs signed over control of the game to the AFL commission in the mid-1980s and that they participate in the AFL competition and need to abide by its rules. As the governing body of the sport the AFL makes the rules; not him and his massively denialist and deluded ego ::).

In the 33-page document detailing the charges against Essendon, released by the AFL on Wednesday, Hird denies several key points, including the allegations:"
