l know what your saying WP but we don't have the players to replace them as we like.

How many players get a pre-match jab & received one Sunday  ;D  l'm not going to mention any names as it could be damaging  :shh but 8 players l know were carrying from previous games. S Edwards had no excuse so rule him out  :lol

I know players get jabbed Monk, know it happens all the time

But I reckon if the player in question hadn't been Newman then they wouldn't have even tried.

It's one thing to jab knowing they'll get thorugh and give you 90% output it's another to jab them and hope they will get through. In Newman's case I believe it was the latter with the belief that him being out there would be a lifter for the side.

part of Edwards problem outside of just being plain terrible on the day was he had played 1 game in a month bought on by his own stupidity getting suspended for round 23. His lack of match conditioning showed up like a beacon in the ocean
At least next year they've all played a final and there is no need for sentiment anymore and we can worry about actually winning.  :shh

Who is dropping bombshells that we had injured players and some may have even received jabs before the game?!

Newman landed awkwardly on his ankle in a contest & injured his ankle.

Yep saw that but still reckon going by how he was moving prior to that he wasn't right to play.

You could tell he had a "jab" pre-match. Newman not being able to kick 45m tells me he wasn't right and shouldn't of played. When a players number 1 strength is negated because they are carrying an injury into a game then you make the hard call, take the sentiment out of it and not play him

That first shot at goal spoke loudly. Newman fully fit would have slotted that
