Greater respect for "vulnerable players "

STFU Pav and co.
wtf shouldn't these dogs have been publicly named ?

The public pays their wages while sports bet takes ours.

Yet, it's somehow am issue that we be informed exactly who the culprits are?

You wanna dance with the devil then be man enough to admit your wrongdoings.

Having said that, if these imbecilic frustrated tradees were in any shape, worthy men, they would have admitted their wrong doings.
Instead, they're as big a coward as James Hird.

Pathetic excuses for role models.

FREMANTLE captain Matthew Pavlich has called for greater respect to be given to “vulnerable” players by the media.

In the wake of 12 Essendon players being named in the ASADA investigation, Pavlich said the AFL Players Association would “lend our voice and influence in condemning the mistreatment of vulnerable players”.

Speaking before the meeting of AFL club captains, Pavlich was adamant the media should be held accountable for its actions in the same way as players’ behaviour on and off the field.

“Just as we are accountable for everything we do on and off the field, we think it’s important to point out conduct which we think falls short when we see it,” he said.

Fox Sports AFL correspondent Julian de Stoop has the latest form Windy Hill as tight securitiy measures preotect Essendon's 'dirtied dozen' from the media.

“It is the view of the captains of all 18 AFL clubs that the decision to name and publish photos of current and former Essendon Football Club players in the press on Sunday falls short of the standards of respect and decency which we hope would characterise the relationship between players and the media.

“Regardless of what you think about what happened at Essendon Football Club in 2012, there is no doubt that these players are in an unenviable and vulnerable position.”

One of the Bombers players - captain Jobe Watson - took part in the captains call.

Nine Essendon players and three more, who have since departed the club, were named in a report detailing the supplements they are alleged to have taken.

Pavlich said it was now important to move forward and look to the season ahead.

“So, without labouring the point, taking any further unnecessary action or holding grudges, let’s all take stock, reflect on how we would like to be treated both individually and collectively, and work together to continue to showcase the game, its players and its stories in a fair and respectable manner,” he said.

ps. A reminder the ASADA investigation is still ongoing so no verdict about any player has been made yet.

Hang the bastards....make it part of this year's GF entertainment. Would sure beat the crap out of Venessa Amorosi or whatever godawful effete indie hipster bearded lady rock band abomination they come up with.
