I just want to congratulate all Richmond supporters and especially all of those posters whose posts I have read on the clubs facebook page for the truthful realism that they have displayed with their posts after yesterdays loss and that disgraceful performance on a day when winning for Tom Hafey meant everything.
When you have 70 and 80 year old people and members smashing the clubs administration for the clubs failure then you know they are right royally up the creek. We are losing supporters and members as we speak.
SO TO THE THE MIDDLE CLASS YUPPIES WORKING AT RICHMOND AND TO THOSE MAKING DECISIONS WHICH IMPACT THE FOOTBALL CLUB AND WHO HAVE BROUGHT THIS GREAT CLUB TO ITS KNEES - DO US A FAVOR AND RESIGN YOUR JOBS TOMORROW MORNING. JUST LEAVE! JUST DO US A FAVOR AND JUST GET OUT! YOU HAVE NOTHING OF RICHMOND FC IN YOU AS PEOPLE.
Presumably these are the same members that allowed their own disenfranchisement and now want to complain about the results.
The members have allowed the board to:
- establish a Nomination Committee to ensure that only nominees they see fit can be elected.
- change the constitution so that the board appoints 1/3 of it's own members.
- engineer board changes without election by having existing directors resign a month before the AGM and new directors appointed and automatically elected unopposed.
The board have established the culture of disdain for the members which flows through the club from players to coaches to football staff to administration staff.
When there is any backlash to this, the staff hunker down and cover for one another, creating a fortress mentality and refusal to question results or each other.
The club is not transparent from top to bottom and will resist any push towards this as self preservation.
