I know Morrison's done well at VFL level but at AFL . Foley will surely come in for Sugar.

It's Tezza keeping his word on 2 fronts IMO.

1/ He said that if players played consistently well at VFL you would get an opportunity in the seniors.

2/ He also said that the all the players on the senior list who maybe considered "fringe" players  would be given an opportunity to show their wares.

You would think it would be last roll of the dice time for Morro.

They train again tomorrow so we should know about Suga then I reckon

Fair enough WP as Flood has said Morrison has been consistently good for Coburg and Wallace likes to keep the same team structure no matter who's playing. Just concerned as Morrison isn't the most mobile of big blokes around and he'll be exposed at AFL level especially if the ball spends most of the time at ground level in the wet.

when we first got morrison he looked the goods, in the wiz cup and rnd 1 v the pies, then danny f did what he does best and shatter ur confidence and screw ur mind up. i say he will fire this week because terry has shown faith in him and again and he will want to return the gesture! he deserves the chance

I'd give Morrison a crack on Goddard and see how he goes. That should be a fairly even contest with Morrison having the advantage with extra bulk in contests.

Actually Morrison on Goddard would be a good match up - Morrison needs confidence and Goddard is over rated and doesn't like the rough stuff IMO - so there's a great chance for Morro to ease into getting aggressive

Thanks WP! He's wearing the Silver Top Taxi promo uniform with a couple of improvements. In case of any onfield incidents, the cape covers the players number and the mask covers their face to prevent a tribunal visit. I think Staff would put thisnew uniform to good use!

Agree WP. Goddard is so overrated it ain't funny. How he went at number #1 in the draft ahead of Wells is mindboggling  ???.

Richmond skipper Kane Johnson is no certainty to play against St Kilda on Saturday - despite being named in the Tigers' final 22 - as he continues to recuperate from a strained medial ligament.

The captained survived the Tigers' training session on Friday, but coach Terry Wallace said the aftermath of the hit-out would determine his availability ahead of Saturday's clash at the MCG.
 
"He needs to pull up alright, obviously that's the first real hit out he's had with the team, so we were comfortable with the way he got through the training session, but obviously it's whether there's any swelling or inflammation there, and how it settles over the next 24 hours," Wallace said.

"So I wouldn't say that he's absolutely rubber-stamped at this stage, at the moment we've selected him, he got through training, and he's got to pull up now."

Wallace said that he will be 'waiting for the phone to ring' on Saturday morning regarding whether Johnson will play, considering the skipper himself isn't 100 per cent certain of his own availability.

"I wouldn't say (he's) super-confident. Again it's how you pull up. We thought he was some chance last week and he actually went through a training run privately and pulled up really sore after the training run, so that's really the test," Wallace said.

Meanwhile, after winning the club's 'crunch match' against Essendon last week, Wallace believes the club has set up an exciting run home to the finals given its current position.

He also acknowledged the fact the Tigers are a headline act this weekend on a Saturday where six out of the top eight sides are lining up against each other is a credit to his young team.

"It's a great opportunity. I think at the start of the season, we thought that we would have been the only people that actually thought our side could play on 'Super Saturday' this far into the season," Wallace said.

"You have a look at every other side around in the 'Super Saturday' eight teams and I think you would have suggested at the start of the year that every one of them could have been there. I don't think that anyone would have expected the Tigers to be there.

"That's a credit to our boys, and I'm just hoping they can live up that and really put on a big showing."

I know Morro has been played down back this season, but i would still like to see him have a crack at playing as part of Terry's triangle. He was pretty good early on last season leading from the goal sq and he is a great kcik for goal.

He has plenty to offer in my opinion.
