If you really want a deceitful coup - I'm not quite there yet - it would be to get Brian Cook and neil blame to Richmond with an open cheque book and/or timeframe to fix the club.
From there, the changes will be what they will be.
Anything else most probably is shifting chairs.

We have to keep hardwick as it will cost too much to remove him. Identfy the best list manager throw a bucketload of money at them, then while our list is improving identify the next hinkley type. With a better list the new coach will come.

yeah, the last thing we need is outside pressure causing hardwick to do anything rash, like drop under performing players who are not injured.
