Michael Christian apologises over talk with amateurs umpire
By Sam McClure 10 April 2018
Any OER thoughts with this one? It was all anyone wanted to talk about on SEN when I was driving home. Should stand down, be sacked etc.
Can't say that I personally feel any of that. It was hardly a monumental mistake. Advised an umpire to be more wary of sling tackles from what I understand. Nothing to see here. But people won't let up.

The way people were carrying on the radio, you thought he must have been abusive, etc. But apparently it wasn't even a heated discussion. He shouldn't have approached the ump (his daughter was playing) but it's hardly a hanging offence.
