Now for the dissection.

Which team drafted well despite not necessarily having the best picks?

I reckon Gold Coast and Essendon have some good value picks.

The Saints have done well too

we at nm are very happy with our selections.
12 hugh goddard- this kid looks a great possibility in defense. great size and looks to be a fb in the making who is capable of playing on the big power fwds.he is also capable of providing some rebound he  addresses our biggest need. he has great closing speed for the role and consistenly has shown an ability to shut down his opponents. hes good in the air and hes agile can jump and reads the ball well. everything imo you want in a potential fb.

25 connor menadue. at 188cm and likely to grow a few more cms we think we have the current prototype mid fielder. hes very slight atm but he has the right sort of frame that says he will bulk up. this kid is explosive has a huge upside and we are prepared to wait the 2 or 3 seasons it will take for him to step up.has real pace has great skills has great evasive skills uses the ball well even under pressure and to top it off hes a goalkicking mid. he would also translate to a fine hb. geez a bloke with his pace and footskills coming off hb.
its not all beer and skittles though. his size is a concern. hes 69kg and to go from 69 to say ideal playing weight of 88kg you do ask if he will lose anything. the other thing i hate, atm he doest get a lot of contested ball but at 69kg you can understand that.

36 tyler kietel. over the moon to get this kid here. can play either end but we envision him being a fwd. great mover finds plenty of ball for a tall is good in the air and will become a kpp in time.

56 wow a total steal at this pick the only comment here is we think this kid should have gone late  1st rnd to mid 2nd round.  if we dont end up with a mid i reckon we got a fantastic hb player.
