Think our list is a lot more balanced now, by no means the finished product but in a better place - last year I said on here that we needed to take at least 4-5 genuine mids as our running stocks were low. A year on we've brought in 6-7 (combined with the rookies) and you'd hope 3-4 of them will come on and become decent contributors hopefully taking the place of players like Newman, Petterd, Grigg, Batchelor, Thomas, etc.

My fear is will the coach give these kids a chance over a Newman type if form warrants it?

Having said that,  I expect/demand us to be right in amongst it battling for a position in the 8.

If players like Ben Lennon, Conca, Astbury, Vickery and Griffiths take the next step (as should be expected of young talented players) and new draftees like Ellis and Drummond give it a shake from next year(which I believe they can), I think we'll be in a really good position. Our reserves will be a lot stronger.

On balance I'd expect the whinging to continue.
It's that simple Spud
"I discussed (it) with my three daughters, my wife and my 82-year-old mum, because it has really affected me … If those comments … were made about one of my daughters, it would make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I would not have liked it at all.”

Top 4-6
DIMMA - You will be held ACCOUNTABLE...

I would expect the whinging to continue and be justified if we dish up the same sort of crap we dished during the first half of the season.

It's largely about Martin, Cotchin, Vickery,( :sleep)Griff, Miles etc, taking the next step.

Granted Cotch is quite effective but as captain is largely responsible for onfield leadership.

The Dutch mong needs to work MUCH harder.

Will Lids ever have his Judd season -  still we wait.

I also worry that dimmers favortism for dehydrated hacks will hinder the chances
given to kids.

Mcbean.They can't get him to afl level.lol.

I expect the whinging about the whinging to continue to far surpass the actual whinging.

For reasons I can't really explain will confess I am really looking forward to season 2015.

After being so disillusioned with the club for so much of 2014 I reckon the list is looking better because of the influx of youth.

Just really pleased that we took kids in the drafts rather than recycled hacks. Massive positive for me.

Looking forward to seeing if some of kids take the next step eg Lennon, Conca, Grimes etc

Also looking forward to few a blokes getting opportunities eg MacIntosh and McBean

My fear is will the coach give these kids a chance over a Newman type if form warrants it?

Hard to disagree with that or this

I also worry that dimmers favortism for dehydrated hacks will hinder the chances
given to kids.

How far we go and how much we improve is very dependant on whether the favouritism ceases

Top 8 finish is the minimum for 2015 IMO
