NOTE: Our ladder position indicates a team’s final spot on the ladder (for example, for a team that needs to finish fourth or higher, they must play in a preliminary final).RICHMOND
Gilbert Gardiner’s analysis: NO sugar coating this ... Richmond MUST play in, and win, at least one final to break even in 2015. They whimped out last year, belted by Port Adelaide before junk-time goals avoided an embarrassing triple-figure loss. The Tigers, who averaged 85 points per game last year, need to find two to three more goals to stay above the likes of Adelaide, West Coast, Gold Coast and Collingwood. The draw makes it tough — ranked fifth hardest — but Richmond’s got enough talent on every line to be competitive. At the very least, time is on Richmond’s side, with the list’s average age at 24 and 70 games experience.
