Richmond midfielder Tim Fleming has received a two match suspension from the AFL tribunal on Tuesday night after being found guilty of unduly rough play against the Kangaroos' Ashley Watson.
The incident occurred during a marking contest in Saturday night's game at Telstra Dome and Fleming said he had only been "trying to make a contest."
However reporting umpire Simon Meredith described his actions as "unreasonable" and "unnecessary" and the tribunal agreed.
It was the second suspension of Fleming's two year career, after he copped a three match ban for striking in round 19 last season.
He will miss matches against Fremantle at the MCG and against Carlton at Telstra Dome.
