* Corey Ellis played his third game back in the VFL from having his foot surgery in the off-season.  He’s someone to look out for in the second half of the year.

* Connor Menadue is very similar to Kamdyn McIntosh. He's very quick, can run all day and uses the ball quite well.  So we’re really excited about him.

* There’s another young guy, Nathan Drummond, who plays off half-back and through our wings, who’s also very exciting for us.

* We’re just looking forward to getting them in the side at some stage and letting them go and see what they can do for us.

menadue will be surprised if he plays a senior game this yr.  just looked too out sized and out of his depth in the preseason. unlike most long term id like to see him run of hb with mcintosh on the other flank.
ellis i hope plays well before the second half of the yr. id be very tempted to just put him on a wing as soon as he gets a few touches in the twos.
drummond well i dont think he will make it based on the little ive seen. i sure hope he proves me wrong. hes a good size already no harm in giving him games.

why not play them when we come up against hawthorn or sydney, we will probably lose anyway so wtf, the experience cant hurt them and tbh we are going no where rught now, give them a blick of 4 games, they play all 4 no matter what, unless they get injured, and we see what thsy can do, see hoe ess just puts them in and plays them, hardwuck and selection panel just play the same hacks week in and week out irrespective of form or passion

All this talk about Menadue, Ellis, Drummond. IMO, Butler is going to be better than all of them.

Why is that?
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Ellis oozes class. He will be the best. Wildcard is Mckenzie

id really like butler to get games myself  mckenzie also. to me they are option to fill roles we are deficient in.

we have been forever searching for a classy quick  sml fwd. butler has the attributes lets get some games into him ffs.
me well its well documented my thoughts on our tall.
i want us to find another QUALITY KPF mckenzie is the best option atm.
its not a shot against griffiths but i think his best role is as a ruck/fwd. the third tall option, keep developing his ruck side he could be a weapon around the ground a bit like the lad at brisbane stefan martin although martin has become a pretty competetive  ruckman as could griffiths in time. i did argue a few yrs ago we take moloney and martin. i think they both gave brisbane good service.
well instead of martin maybe ben griffiths.

I've been on the Butler bandwagon too. He could only do better than Morris in that role. Would love to see McKenzie too.
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

Has pace, size, endurance and goal sense. Reckon he's our next Nathan G Brown. Also loved what I saw in the first nab game against the dogs.
