Dimma was On the Couch last night ...

-------------------------------------------

RICHMOND coach Damien Hardwick joined the team On The Couch following his side’s drought breaking victory over Collingwood on the weekend.

However, despite the win, Hardwick said the Tigers still have many areas in which they need to improve.

“We play in patches, but there’s consistency that we strive for,” he said. “Unfortunately, at the moment, we don’t have that.

“From a coaches point of view, we don’t look at our premiership window. We just think we’ve got to make the eight to give ourselves the chance.”

Hardwick was coy when asked about how the club will approach the trade window at the end of the season, saying: “Most sides have holes in their side ... We’ve got a number of positions that we’d love to solidify.”

Hardwick also spoke candidly about maligned forward Tyrone Vickery, saying he proved his worth to the team when he kicked the sealing goal on Sunday afternoon.

“I still maintain that Ty is part of our best 22,” Hardwick said. “When he plays to the level that we know he can, he is absolutely part of our best 22.”

Also couldn't/wouldn't answer the question as to what is "the Richmond way" of playing. If you can't/wont divulge it then stop constantly referring to it in your answers.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Great summary Ox. They ask him about a premiership window and he responds saying it's hard enough to make the 8!

Yeah but if you make the 8 you've then got a 1 in 8 chance of winning the flag!!!!!!

Wasn't very inspiring

Yes! if all the top 8 sides were really nice to each other, they could share the flag, and let everyone have a turn!
