June 17, 2015 4:00 PMMatthew Richardson, the idol of a generation of Richmond supporters, will be inducted into the Club’s Hall of Fame at the gala Homecoming event to be held on Saturday, July 11 at the Plenary, Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Matthew Richardson will be one of four new inductees into the Tigers’ Hall of Fame at the Homecoming function.
Another major highlight of the evening will be the elevation of a current Hall of Fame member to ‘Immortal’ status – the highest individual honor at Richmond.
Currently there are five Tiger Immortals – Jack Dyer, Tommy Hafey, Kevin Bartlett, Francis Bourke and Royce Hart.
Homecoming is the biggest event Richmond has ever staged, where it will pay tribute to the mighty history of one of the most powerful clubs in the competition.
Every former player has been invited to attend the event, and entertainment for the evening includes Natalie Bassingthwaighte and Sam Ludeman Band.
Tickets for the ‘Gold’ dinner have already sold out, however ‘Silver’ dinner tickets are still available.
Tickets for the exclusive pre-event Homecoming Cocktail Party have also been released, which includes an autograph session with current and former Richmond players.
