Swans offering Tippett $5.5 million over 6 years
« on: November 21, 2012, 01:40:04 PM »
IT IS the deal Kurt Tippett cannot refuse: $3.5 million for four years, with a conditional two-year extension for seasons 2017 and 2018 worth close to another $2 million.

Indeed, if Tippett reaches the Sydney Swans his hip pocket is set to bulge. According to The Age, the Swans' offer to the 25-year-old consists of $700,000 for the first year, $900,000 for the second, and $975,000 for 2015 and 2016.

If the two-year extension is activated, he would receive just under a $1million for each season.

Tippett isn't even his clubs best forward. He's not better than Port's best either. Lucky Spud this guy

DESPITE facing potential de-registration for his previous contract dealings with Adelaide, Kurt Tippett has been allowed to take himself off the Crows' list and nominate for December's NAB AFL pre-season draft.

Tippett has also been given permission by the AFL to "have an extension to lodge set financial terms as a category one player".

That means he is considering how big a price to place on his head in the hope of dissuading Greater Western Sydney, who has the first pick in the pre-season draft, from selecting him.

The key forward remains committed to continuing his career with the reigning premiers, the Sydney Swans.

I believe the new saying around the AFL to players who earned absurdly high contracts is to be "Tippetted", (it was getting McGuaned)
It's that simple Spud

Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.

Kurt Tippett is set to join AFL premiers Sydney in next week's pre-season draft after Greater Western Sydney officially withdrew their interest.

So Sydney will continue their trend of recruiting mature age KPF's. Lockett, Hall and now Tippett. Always seems to work for them.

not a bad pick up from the reigning premier.

wonder how long it took them to convince him
to move to Sydney than Brisvegas/GC.

or did they just throw a bag of money on the table.
