Player most likely to lead his team to success in September

Richmond

The Tigers have moved themselves into contention for a double-chance come September.

But for the Tigers to do more than just simply tease their supporters, they need Alex Rance to continue the form that had him named at centre half-back in the 2014 All-Australian side. After speculation he might leave the club — or even the game — the tough defender signed a four-year deal last month reflecting his worth to the club. His game on Lance Franklin recently was at the heart of Richmond’s defeat of Sydney.

However, there is a case for the Tigers’ most valuable to be Jack Riewoldt, given one in five of Richmond’s goals are kicked by the spearhead.
