Jeez Darcy is a full blown flog.
Don't appreciate his condescending attitude, nor do I appreciate him alluding to the tiger army being " up and about"

No one here is getting swept up in the hype  :thumbsdown

Summary:

* Don't know about being an inspirational captain. More a role player and getting the best out of his teammates.

* Nice to have positive feedback from outside sources. More important for your teammates to love you and you get positiveness from them.

* Leading Team's Gerard Murphy has been a great influence on Cotch. Cotch still has a relationship with Simon Katich although it's harder now with him up at GWS. Opportunities to meet other captains also helps his own captaincy. You take a bit from everyone.

* Physicality in his game needs to be a strength and his teammates love him doing it. If I'm doing it then others want to do it.

* Vickery - consistency has improved - kicked 12 goals in last couple of weeks. Understanding now what works for him and is contributing over 4 quarters, where as in the past he floated in and out of games.

* Riewoldt's change of role? Carey said Jack is so unselfish and playing higher up has allowed other Tiger forwards space to contribute. Cotch added that it doesn't matter who is kicking the goals if you're kicking the biggest score as a team.

* They brought up Cotch's impressive junior footy record (4 B&Fs at West Preston, U16 & U18 Vic Metro captain, U17 Australian captain). He was injured in his first year of AFL and didn't play until round 8. As an early draft pick, he just wanted to prove himself and had some self doubts especially being injured. Richo, Kane Johnson and Nathan Brown at the time really helped him and made him feel welcomed.

* Can a side outside the top 4 win it? Don't doubt we can match the other sides.

* You may be off to Adelaide in the first week of the finals? Over the year you do look at scenarios in drips and drabs but you don't focus on them. Reality is we need to come out and play 4 quarters of very good footy this week against North.

* Yarran to Richmond? No idea if he's coming or not. Whether it's a new club or the Carlton have got a new coach, a change of environment can help when things aren't going well. You need something to chase. Being around a club that isn't performing isn't the best of times.

* Steve Johnson? If the Club were interested, the leadership group would be consulted.

* Cotch said he'll be right to play Friday night against North.
