Has Coughlan Been Put Up
« on: October 03, 2005, 10:03:05 AM »
According to some on Big Footy, SEN has reported that Coughlan has been put up. If this is true AND if its about bringing Fevola...then sadly its time to turn off the lights at Punt Rd and stay at home. If true, then we have learnt nothing, if true it shows our administration isnt as smart as we hope...if you trade Coughlan you dont trade him now you wait 12 months and do it next year. The upshot is ... If all this is true...I think its bitterly disappointing for a young man who has given us everything he had as a player...when all around him were stuffing around.

The bigfooty/sen rumours also mentions Polak as possible Coughlan trade bait.

Personally i wouldn't be up for a Cogs/Fev swap, but maybe Cogs's groin is worse then a lot of people think?

I reckon you're onto something there  ;)

I'd take it, we need goal kicking midfielders and Cogs simply is not that, he can't even kick more than 30meters with his OP and i'm sick of those helicopter kicks he keeps doing.

but seriously, if we did get rid of cogs , he is very replaceable and not as special as we think, if teh rumors that he wants to head hm are right, i say let him go . his body wont hold up and is a liablility in my opinion

At this time of year, it’s sometimes hard to know exactly what’s real and what’s not, until deals actually go through.  Some of the stuff that gets put around is just mind bending.

You’d hope RFC aren’t as short sighted as some of the deals bandied around suggest.

Until this is all over, I’ll just try and remember to breathe.

I doubt very very much that Cogs would be up for trade by the RFC

What I am equally as sure of is that most of the other 15 clubs have asked the RFC is Cogs available.

Bottomline is other Clubs may want him but the RFC aint gonna trade him

Cogs was requested by CFC and refused by RFC - NOT offered.
