I like these articles in the sense that it reminds us of how much is uncertain about a draft year. We hear about "worst draft ever" coming this year but how can you really know?

Look at the 2006 draft and you see real gems like Goldstein at #37, Robbie Gray at #55 and then you see the top 20 and how many of them to date have produced extraordinary careers?

Yes the way clubs go about selecting players now is less Russian Roulette but I am always conscious about how much we don't know/will never know about the potential in the kids you draft until a few season down the track
