Fox Footy bucks the Rioli trend. They have him going much later at 29 and Gresham to us instead.

THE time has come.

In just 24 hours, the lives of a group of young footballers will be changed forever when they are officially selected to AFL clubs around the country.

Ahead of Tuesday’s national draft, Fox Footy reveals its entire phantom draft.

PICK 1: CARLTON — JACOB WEITERING (Dandenong Stingrays)
PICK 2: BRISBANE — JOSH SCHACHE (Murray Bushrangers)
PICK 3: SYDNEY ACADEMY SELECTION — CALLUM MILLS (North Shore)
PICK 4: MELBOURNE — CLAYTON OLIVER (Murray Bushrangers)
PICK 5: GWS GIANTS ACADEMY SELECTION — JACOB HOPPER (North Ballarat)
PICK 6: GWS GIANTS ACADEMY SELECTION — MATTHEW KENNEDY (Collingullie-GP)
PICK 7: ESSENDON — DARCY PARISH (Geelong Falcons)
PICK 8: ESSENDON — AARON FRANCIS (West Adelaide)
PICK 9: GOLD COAST — CALLUM AH CHEE (South Fremantle)
PICK 10: MELBOURNE — SAM WEIDEMAN (Eastern Ranges)
PICK 11: CARLTON — HARRY McKAY (Gippsland Power)
PICK 12: ADELAIDE — WAYNE MILERA (Central District)
PICK 13: CARLTON — CHARLIE CURNOW (Geelong Falcons)

PICK 14: RICHMOND — JADE GRESHAM (Northern Knights)

Don’t let his height fool you. At just 177cm, Jade Gresham is one of the most talented midfielders in this draft pool. Great around stoppages and with a fantastic eye for goal, Gresham averaged 29 disposals and kicked 15 goals from 13 TAC Cup games. He also showed that ability in the national championships, averaging 23 disposals, five clearances and going at better than a goal per game. A really well-rounded prospect, Gresham was among the best in the clean hands test and the kicking test at the combine. He was also one of four players to record a perfect score in the goal-kicking test. The Tigers have put a lot of work into Gresham and would be happy to claim him with their first pick.

PICK 49: RICHMOND — NICK O’KEARNEY (Calder Cannons)

A high accumulator at TAC Cup level, it’s how Nick O’Kearney uses the ball that has led to question marks over his ability. The midfielder averaged 27 disposals per game in the TAC Cup this year. He has the potential and work rate to become an AFL footballer, but his skills are the query.

PICK 67: RICHMOND — CALLUM MOORE (Calder Cannons)

A 193cm forward, Callum Moore was a focal point for Vic Metro as an overage player. He’s strong in the air and athletically gifted. His game needs some polish, but there’s undoubted potential.

PICK 71: RICHMOND — PASS
