Time for Richmond to speak up: Caroline WilsonJoel Brooks

27 April 2016This time last year Richmond had just come off a defeat to Melbourne on ANZAC Day Eve at the MCG and according to Gerard Healy, appeared to be in crisis mode when its CEO Brendan Gale appeared on Footy Classified.
A year on, Richmond are in a similar position.
It's been a disappointing start to the season, topped off with another ANZAC Day Eve loss to Melbourne.
The difference this year? No public comment by the CEO.
Caroline Wilson believes it is time for Richmond to be public in its stance as to where the club is at, however Healy's 'crisis' comments last year are a reason why it hasn't.
"You're one of the reasons they've gone silent this week," Caro told Gerard Healy.
"I blame you."
One of the key aspects of Richmond's poor showing this year is due to the recruiting in recent years, Caro says.
Over the off season, Richmond welcomes Jacob Townsend, Chris Yarran and Andrew Moore to the side, but missed out on star midfielder Adam Treloar.
"They said they were going to go for a big name and they failed.
"They've got to get tougher in the off season, tougher in the trade table, tougher in terms in their recruiting."
The Tigers face Port Adelaide on Saturday night, who are also under siege.
Key defender Alex Rance will miss due to suspension and star forward Jack Riewoldt is also in doubt after rolling his ankle on Sunday night. Brett Deledio is expected to make is long-awaited return from injury.
The winner on Saturday night will be sure to breath easier next week, however the loser can expect the spotlight to shine even brighter.
