I was too young to see him play. Question to those who saw him how good was he? Sounds like a nice bloke too.

Was not the greatest footballer but was one of the first really big guys to play. At 6ft 6, he was a rare breed. He did all the little things well. Never pretended to be skilled. His greatest feature was that he was a great club man, much loved by his teammates. That is why a bit of the club died when he was traded.
