Post the trade period, we've made up a little ground.
We've picked up 2 known quantities who should play another 8 years at the club.
They are the perfect age profile to complement Cotchin, Martin, Rance and Jack.
We've nailed the ruck ttrade - perfect profile in age and trade for what we need.
I'm hoping he's a Mumford quality trade but hope isn't a strategy.
We not batting deeply I the draft but we can't expect that to happen either.
Bringing 3 established players is going to cost draft picks.
For it to be a stellar trade, I'd have personally liked a couple of free hits with 2nd or 3rd round picks for Bellis and Lennongrad. The others mentioned on this forum aren't good enough to be traded. Simple really.
So now it's over to the coaching and conditioning staff to get these players fit and playing something resembling a winning game plan.
It's good enough to be a top 8 side but I kind of hope we have one of those 10 win years where we get a new coach, a couple of awesome draft picks and a new list manager
