Caroline Wilson says Richmond has a 'big problem' when it comes to leadership

3AW
October 25, 2016 - 9:30PM

Caroline Wilson says Richmond has a "big problem" when it comes to leadership.

It follows the departure of Brett Deledio to Greater Western Sydney.

Captain Trent Cotchin has come under plenty of heat over recent seasons for his leadership, but Caro said it was part of a bigger problem.

"There's nobody really else at that football club you could single out and say will be their next captain," she said on Sports Today.

"That is a big problem for that football club."

But Caro said she was impressed by what the Tigers had done at the trade table.

I dunno, Prestia and Caddy have the potential to be leaders.

Think in time Vlastiun may be someone who can lead us?

Seems a pointless article with nothing new Caro.
Go Tigers!

Haven't we been recruiting for good character and leadership lately?  It can't be for playing ability.
Does anyone have half an idea on anything?

If the club or anyone cared to look we actually do have at least two players who could lead our club and i dare say lead it well and they are Alex Rance or Jack Riewoldt, both are "out there" and both aren't backwards in comming forward.

Both would have no problem in marshaling the players, confronting the players attitude and work ethic and both would be capable of leading from the front.

Timid leadership isn't leadership at all, neither of those boys are timid they need the shackles taken off them. Give them the gig.

I see a connection between the lack of leadership , Hardwicks tenure and a failed, woman president.
