Cotchin

Interesting. The obvious question is who then takes over captain in your opinion? Also, if Cotchin lacks leadership (as many have claimed), enough so that he isn't captain material, why would you make him Vice?

See WPs post Ferret

Doesn't really answer either of my questions Dooks.

Good time to reassess/ review our entire leadership structure  (group)

Think relieving Cotchin of the captaincy wpuld be good for Cotchin the player

Would have Jack & Alex as co captains

So in your opinion, who should be captain?

Heres one from left field.

Brandon Ellis

Why?

He is well liked by his team mates
He is a vocal member in the team
He is a player slightly down on confidence
He is a player with huge upside
He is a player integral to our success

He's only missed a handful of games in his career and while he has had some down form, he has shown the best form of any draft pick since Martin.

The alternative is Vlastuin but I don't think he is vocal enough

makes some "interesting" points

could the captaincy be the catalyst for him to take the next step?

Can't be any more absurd than giving Newman the captaincy....might even be the making of him.....:shh

Ellis for Captain, what a load of rubbish. Reeks of mediocrity acceptance again. Jack, Rance and Cotchin. Vlas was hit and miss last year with some games being insipid.

Ellis.....pfft.

Bellis LMAO

Real good look when your captain short arms every tough contest in the game.

Then goes home and sleeps with the light on.

Who cares

Relax man its a very important appointment. If the captain cant get to the game, the vc will be holding up the premiership cup with the coach. You can just picture a Bellis and Hardwick on the dais... :lol

While I understand that the club has been big on rewarding mediocre efforts and performances from players for a number of years now

And Ellis B has been a major recipient of that policy .... the captaincy would be just too much way too much

He's not a leader... a million miles from it

Don't like the idea of co captains. I'd probably pick jack as captain and rance as vice.

Jack and Rance to be captain and vice captain respectively sounds legit.

I would've said Jack & Rance normally, but I've heard two much about Rance not wanting the captaincy.  So I'll go for Cap'n Jack as our biggest gun with Dusty as Vice Captain, then Vlaus as Deputy ....   (if we have a third player).  Let Cotch cool off & worry about earning lots of possessions ....
