Wallace on Sport 927 (audio)
« on: July 03, 2006, 03:34:10 PM »
Richmond’s shock win over Collingwood has been soured with news that Chris Newman is likely to be out of action for as long as 12 months, after breaking both bones in his leg in an incident very similar to that of team mate Nathan Brown.

Newman had surgery last night and will remain in hospital for some time.

It’s the second serious injury in two weeks for Richmond, with Mark Coughlan needing a full knee reconstruction following the Hawthorn loss.

Richmond coach Terry Wallace joined Prime Time Sports on the back of yesterday’s win. Wallace spoke to the boys about the Tiger tactics and Chris Newman’s injury.
