Away Strip - lucky charm?
« on: August 20, 2017, 11:35:26 PM »
I know we got pantsed pretty badly a couple of times this season but the Tigers have been pretty good away for the most part. In particular I think the win rate in the away strip is in the positive? I think this was brought up before but maybe we should wear the away jumper all finals series....... :whistle

Thought the same thing and am no colour expert but in close in the heat of battle I would say your peripheral vision would pick up yellow quicker than black. Imagination or not we just look a much slicker team in the alternative strip.

Weve been flogged a few times wearing that strip against Adelaide.

Lost to Adelaide by plenty, lost the Saints by plenty.
Lost to GWS, Cats and Bulldogs away as well.
That's 5 of the 7 losses.
Our 2 home losses have been by 4 and 9 points.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

They weren't our home games but we didn't actually wear the away strip against the Bulldogs, cats or the close loss to GWS. Agree we got pantsed by Adelaide and Saints but we could have all been wearing Travis Cloke's cheating glove and we wouldn't have won.

My gut tells me the away strip has a positive win/loss balance

Just my superstitious 2c
