Tigers chip in for Jack’s sake

The spirit of Jack Dyer lives on at Trinity Catholic School in Richmond . . . thanks to the Tigers and their co-major sponsor Australian Finance Group.
Trinity Catholic School is an amalgamation of Jack Dyer’s famous old school St Ignatius and St James School.
At a special ceremony this week, Trinity’s 200 students each received special Tiger bags, tracksuits and T-shirts through Richmond’s Tigers in Community Foundation, with the backing of AFG.
The front of the tracksuit tops and T-shirts has the Trinity Catholic School logo on one side and the Tigers in Community logo on the other. To further strengthen the ties between Richmond and Trinity, the school’s footy team will be known as the Trinity Tigers.
AFG donated $20,000 to the Tigers in Community Foundation, and part of this money was used to fund the gear for Trinity’s school kids.
Current Richmond players and project leaders Joel Bowden, Patrick Bowden, Chris Newman, Brent Hartigan and Tom Roach were in attendance at the Trinity School ceremony this week, along with Tiger greats Dale Weightman and Michael Roach, who are key members of the Tigers in Community Foundation.
