Play CCJ or Chol ahead of Slomo Soldud.... :shh

here we go...

Can't wait for the "told you so" posts after he beats Zac Clarke.... :shh

Think we should play soldo/ccj depending on the ruck opposition. Against the big experienced guys play soldo and against the others play ccj. I’d say soldo this week for McEvoy but very excited to see ccj debut.

Another opportunity.

Used to scoff and laugh at the older one soldier out another will replace them, but with this group of players it actually works. Just requires effort and hunger which we didnt get against the dogs and we wont get a few more times this season im sure, but its just so great to see how far this club has come. ALL our most valuable players arent playing !

The question for Hardwick will be whether to bring in a like-for-like ruckman in Ivan Soldo or back young tyro Noah Balta against Ben McEvoy.

Balta played his best game after being forced to play as the No.1 ruckman, finishing with a team-high five clearances to go with 12 hitouts, 13 possessions (10 contested) and a goal.

“Obviously, Noah is a young first-year player so to see his effort and intent in the ruck, and for Nathan Broad to pinch-hit in there, I thought we looked really solid,” Hardwick said.

Good post and I agree.

This team seems to brace opportunity, no matter how it comes.

I actually thought on the weekend that when Nank went off we started playing the same way as we did in 2017. Beaten in the ruck, but killed them on run, spread and defensive attack on the footy.

Imagine if we just kept going with the Balta/Broad combo.  :shh
