ARIA winner Dean Lewis, who enjoyed huge success with his hits Waves and Be Alright, is tipped to be among the line-up at the MCG on game day.

Another interesting name rumoured to be part of the Grand Final entertainment is Tones and I. Tones and I, aka Toni Watson, a one-time busker, is best known for her international chart-topper, Dance Monkey.

Mike Brady is tipped to return to the MCG to mark the 40th anniversary of his footy classic Up There Cazaly and John Williamson is also expected to be among the performers.

Conrad Sewell has been mentioned in dispatches as performing the national anthem.

This year’s entertainment is due to be officially confirmed this week, however sources suggest there’s been difficulty in securing the right performers this year, hence the delayed announcement.

Could Hugh Jackman be the AFL’s secret Grand Final entertainment weapon?

Jackman, a Port Adelaide fan, would silence critics complaining about imported talent being paid to play at the Grand Final.

Midnight Oil are also believed to have been approached, as well as Daryl Braithwaite and John Farnham as no-brainer Aussie icon crowd pleasing headline acts.

AUSTRALIAN music icon Paul Kelly will headline the Virgin Australia Pre-Game Show at the 2019 AFL Grand Final.

He will be supported by Dean Lewis and Tones and I, in line-up with a very local feel.

Kelly previously performed at the 2012 Grand Final alongside Tim Rogers and the Temper Trap.

Lewis, who reached number one on the ARIA charts in 2018 with his song Be Alright, will also perform at the post-match show, which is free to everyone regardless if they hold a Grand Final ticket.

Tones and I currently has the No.1 song on the ARIA charts in Dance Monkey.

Rounding out the entertainment, country music legend John Williamson AM will perform Waltzing Matilda, while September favourite Mike Brady AM will once again lead the crowd in Up the Cazaly, 40 years after the song was first released.

Another Australian musician, Conrad Sewell, has the daunting task of performing the national anthem.

Not knocking his songs but they aren't exactly pumping party tunes if you're celebrating winning the flag post-game. 'Be Alright' would be more fitting if you lost the Granny  :-\.
