RICHMOND star Dustin Martin has capped off a tremendous week by claiming the Gary Ayres Award for the best player of the finals in the eyes of the coaches.

Martin added the honour to the premiership and Norm Smith Medal he won on Saturday after receiving a perfect 10 votes from Richmond coach Damian Hardwick and GWS counterpart Leon Cameron for his performance in the 2019 Grand Final.

Martin's heroics matched his efforts from 2017 where he also claimed the Gary Ayres Award and Norm Smith Medal in a premiership year for the Tigers.
