How about Dimma teach the forwards how to lay a tackle again as it seems they have forgotten.
The club that keeps giving.

I'd have asked Short to just kick them from 50+

Avoid going F50 altogether. They were clearly flooding and it was gross to watch.

I can't copy and paste it from my phone but Kane Cornes has taken a dig at Dimma today over this.

'Out of line' Dimma apologises to Horse after Mrs Hardwick backlash

By Riley Beveridge

AN UNCEREMONIOUS "dressing down" from Mrs Hardwick was the motivation behind Damien Hardwick picking up the phone to apologise to John Longmire this week, with the Richmond coach labelling his own post-game comments from last Sunday as "out of line".

Hardwick complained of overly defensive tactics from Longmire in Richmond's dour 4.10 (34) to 3.8 (26) victory at the SCG, suggesting Sydney had stacked "75,000 people" in its backline to ensure the reigning premiers couldn't score in the wet conditions.

Longmire refuted those comments earlier this week, saying his Tigers counterpart's claims were "completely unnecessary and unwarranted" before branding them as "just not correct".

It has since led to Hardwick calling Longmire in order to apologise for his post-match outburst, with the Richmond coach saying he got caught up in the moment after a frustrating game.

"It was a shocker on my behalf," Hardwick said.

"It was out of line. I was probably frustrated and let the situation get the better of me.

"I called up 'Horse' and apologised. It was out of line on my behalf, so we had a good conversation and we moved on pretty quickly. I'll just worry about what I can control and continue to do that.

"(Mrs Hardwick) wasn't overly happy with the press conference. She gave me a dressing down after it. That was a good result." ....

The Swans did park the bus in our forward line but we were dumb continually bombing the ball inside F50 to them rather than lowering the eyes.

Dimma & the team better learn quickly from it because Norf always play that crap against us.

It's the obvious answer.. lower the eyes. But watching the game, many times there were no leads, the forward line was so stagnant. It's like we are used to just bombing it in and hoping for a mark, or to get the crumbs and lock it in. Which has worked for us tremendously over the past few years. But when there is no fwd50 pressure this strategy fails miserably.
Also our movement at times was so slow it allowed Swans players to get back and fill in the holes which meant lowering the eyes would have done nothing really.

‘Terrible tirade’: Hardwick reveals huge Longmire spray after ‘s****y, out of line’ press conference

July 22, 2020 9:29am
BEN WATERWORTh

A cheeky Damien Hardwick says he copped a “terrible dressing down” from John Longmire after the Richmond coach’s veiled swipe at his Sydney counterpart following the two teams’ dour Round 6 clash.

After just seven goals were kicked in the Tigers’ 34-26 victory over the Swans in Brisbane, Hardwick post-game lamented Longmire’s defensive set-up, suggesting Sydney had stacked “75,000 people” in its backline and claiming it led to a “horrendous game of football”.

Longmire then refuted those comments, saying Hardwick’s claims were “completely unnecessary and unwarranted” before branding them as “just not correct”.

Hardwick last week revealed he’d called Longmire to apologise.

But speaking to SEN Breakfast on Wednesday morning, Hardwick revealed Longmire’s fiery mood.

“Horse gave me a terrible dressing down when I wrote to him, the big fella,” he told SEN Breakfast.

“I was actually really disappointed, because I love Horse. As soon as I see him, he’s just one of those guys I’ve always been drawn too.

“I just had a crap press conference and I was crappy and a little bit sh*tty.

“I said something that was out of line — and to be honest it was what Horse said. It wasn’t really the answer, it was just me being frustrated. We weren’t playing well and just kicking into ridiculous spots.

“I just lashed out and unfortunately Horse was on the end of it.

“But then I was on the end of a terrible tirade at the other end when I rang him to apologise. He’s a great man, I love him.”

Asked to describe the ferocity of Longmire’s bake, Hardwick cheekily said: “Horse can give a good cook, he can. I deserved it, I’m telling you.”

“Sorry, Mr Horse.”

The Tigers were able to bounce back six days later, kicking 11 goals to record a 54-point win over North Melbourne at Metricon Stadium.

SEN Breakfast co-host Tim Watson asked if Hardwick had approached Kangaroos coach Rhyce Shaw pre-game and asked what sort of footy he wanted him to play.

“Shut up, Tim!” Hardwick, with a laugh, replied.

Wish he'd stop backpedaling.

Swans played a boring and cowardly game against us.

Just call it out. If people hate the way the game looks - this is why!
