Pffffft.
I’d have taken a 27 point win pre game.
We get 9 days to freshen up and hopefully we welcome back Lambert and Grimes.
One week later, Shedda comes back and then we can look forward to Astbury and Meatie in week 1 of the finals.
Feels like 2019 to me.

“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Yup bank the 4 points and move on.

2 more wins and we’ll secure top 4 with 5 locked on best 22 players to come back in. Given ourselves a great chance at back to back.

Slomo & Nank were both woeful... :shh
Nankervis has the worst ruck performance since Hampsud played for us.

How can you have 1 disposal in 60 minutes of footy?

Soldo had disposals but might as well not. Couldn’t kick, handpass with any coordination.

Overall two rucks didn’t even add up to having 1 effective ruckman both combined contributed 9 metres gained.  :rollin

Our 2 best key defenders out injured. Keep opponent to 27 points.  Cudos must be given here.

What was worse in order of atrociousness? Umpires, our Rucks, our inside 50 entries?

From what I saw on tv I would rate it

Third place umpires, second place our forward 50 entries and the winners here for atrociousness on the night (drumroll) our Rucks.

I would have umpires at #1
#2 our forward 50 entries
#3 complacency. Dimma’s spray jolted them in the last quarter

Umpires were reasonable I thought apart from Balta getting absolutely stiffed.
I work in Africa and they were taking the pee out of me for saving Africa.......

Why Hardwick would be "disappointed" with Richmond performance

By SEN
3 September 2020

Richmond left Metricon Stadium with four points on Wednesday night, but Nick Dal Santo was not convinced by their performance.

A four-goal fourth quarter saw the Tigers break away from Fremantle after a less than inspiring performance to that point. Coach Damien Hardwick clearly agreed as he gave the side an enormous spray during the final break.

They take on Geelong on September 11 in a game that will have enormous top four ramifications and Dal Santo believes Richmond must play significantly better than they did on Wednesday night to match the Cats.

“I’d love to be in the changerooms, we know he’s jovial at times, but they’ve only got two more games,” Dal Santo told AFL Nation.

“They’ve got the Cats next week and they’ve got a nine-day break, but if they perform like they did tonight, that’s not going to stack up against the Cats.

“The risk is, and I’m not saying it’s a huge risk right now, Damien Hardwick would be saying guys, ‘this is full dress rehearsal sort of stuff’.

“There’s David Astbury, Josh Caddy, Shane Edwards, Kane Lambert and Dion Prestia, there’s five that can come back into the team.

“In some ways I think Hardwick would be disappointed with the way that the game went, knowing in the last quarter when they had to flip the switch they did it comfortably in the end.”
