Summary

* 2020?
Extremely challenging year. We're so accustomed to certainty and it was so uncertain. It was so fulfilling too.

* Do you now set new parameters after 3-0-75?
Those goals had their time and place. We had to generate that urgency and get a buy in from everyone. It wasn't just about metrics but about building a strong premiership winning club. Look at Geelong where they are always competing and strong off-field. That's what we are aiming at.

* How do avoid gravity (dropping away)?
Got to have a sense of humility. We don't have all the answers and we respect the ferocity of the competition. Benny believes we are a humble club no matter what others say. It's about list management and regenerating while contending (eg: Balta, Bolton, ...). The competition demands you to keep on your toes and there is no rest.

* Hardwick future?
Hardwick is an incredibly driven person and very capable technicality as a coach. But he's a people person. Players could get more money elsewhere but if the players buy in to what we are doing we give ourselves a chance. Sees Dimma being at the club for a long time (of course that is up to him). There is a lot of data to measure success but there is also a lot of uncertainty. If you're curious and keep wanting to improve and grow then you don't get cooked. Hopeful Dimma will coach for a long time but that is up to him.

* Amazon doco?
Have seen our edits of the Amazon doco not the whole thing. We're an open book as a club. We wanted to give something back to our fans as well as show the club to an international audience. The doco reflects the club in a positive way especially those around the footy dept. We are very grateful and very lucky.

* Is a single preseason game enough?
Our footy people would prefer one more but the key to us is to sweep the small stuff. Be agile and deal with what is served up to us.

* Round 1 crowd?
Working on 50% capacity. Outside chance of more but wouldn't be banking on it. Based on our reserved seat members who signed up for the ballot we are hopeful all members who want to go will be able to go. Carlton will get only a couple of thousand members.

* Day or night GF?
From siren to siren the event was wonderful last year. Build up though is different. Whether that was because it was at night or a different city is hard to tell. Believes the AFL made the right decision. Russell asked when you're AFL CEO will the GF be at night? Benny replied he's only worrying about Thursday night.

* Tassie team?
Would love to see a Tasmanian team in the AFL and it would be great for the code and Tassie. How it is done and funded is the million dollar question. It has been brought to a head by the Tassie premier but in fairness it has been an incredible year and clubs have been fighting to survive. Not the time to analyse it.

* What he wanted when he first became our CEO?
Having involvement as a player he felt the club from top down wasn't on the same page. So Benny wanted to get the whole club on the same page. Second was building our business. What defines our club is the things we share. Share what we need to do to be a success and that job never ends.
