All it really provides is further insight into where a team currently sits on the ladder. So in the Dees case yes they are 7:0 but they needed to be given they have had the easier draw earlier in the season, we on the other hand have played the top sides hence we aren't going too badly. Of course the media grab onto these stats in isolation and suddenly we are again assumed to be the recipient of special treatment.

How can Melbourne have had the easiest run when they played us? Are we easy beats? Something dodgy with that ranking

Our system is awesome and has helped us win premierships but I dunno if it can produce wins without our prime A grade prime movers in the guts. The youngsters don’t have the gas nor the strength to sustain 4 quarters of unrelenting pressure on the ball carrier. Dusty isn’t known for his pressure acts either.

We should beat the sides below us but unless we see Prestia cotchin lambert and Edwards I’m not sure our system is enough.

Good news is we've played the top 5 teams.  Bad news we've beaten only one.
