RICHMOND is nervously waiting to see how key forward Matthew Richardson wakes up this morning.
His place in the side for today's showdown against reigning premier Sydney at Telstra Dome is in doubt after he pulled up sore at training yesterday.
Richardson called for fitness staff to examine him after he appeared to strain his right quad muscle while kicking late in a light session at Punt Rd Oval.
The Tiger star has been a prolific goalkicker against the Swans in recent seasons.
Coach Terry Wallace confirmed later Richardson had tightened up, but said all the club could do was wait and see how he is this morning.
"We're not sure whether there is a problem," Wallace said yesterday.
"He obviously didn't complete training. We had a bit of a chat to him and took him out and we'll just have to see how he pulls up. That's all we can do."
