Joel to sign on again

From the Herald Sun's The Pulse section:

Expect to read in the next day or two that Richmond defender Joel Bowden has signed a new two-year contract with the Tigers.

But we doubt this will make him the AFL's highest paid defender, given Matthew Scarlett is now on plenty at the Cats.

It probably won't even make him the highest-paid defender at Punt Rd.  Darren Gaspar almost certainly has him covered by virtue of the massive long-term deal he signed after winning the 2001 best-and-fairest.

Thanks for that Moi  :).

Well done to Joel  :clapping.

Gas' 5-year contract runs out this year so I doubt Gas will be our highest paid defender from 2007 onwards.

Interesting that a back-to-back B&F will get a two year deal while others who have performed on a less consistent level got 3  :whistle.
