Richmond Players Day

The annual Richmond Players Day Comedy Day is back in full force, with an afternoon of laughs and entertainment.

Local comedians band together for this special event commemorating the Richmond Tigers.

There'll also be appearances from the entire Tigers outfit, as well as past players and legends of the club. A series of auctions will take place throughout the afternoon, including signed jerseys & boots.

The first half of the game against the suns was enough comedy for me

Some Castagna highlights will have the crowd in stitches
And you may not think I care for you
When you know down inside that I really do

They have this every year. It is something the players organise.

I went to one a few years back. Found the calibre of comedians very poor. Actually found the majority of them not funny and one in particular spent their entire set mocking the disabled and demeaning women

Also for memory the one I went to was the day after we had a bad loss
"Oh yes I am a dreamer, I still see us flying high!"

from the song "Don't Walk Away" by Pat Benatar 1988 (Wide Awake In Dreamland)
