Some sanity prevails. Would prefer Ross in for Shedda, maybe Ross will be the sub.

I'll put my hand up  ;D.

MC either reading OER by dropping George tonight or trolling us by naming him in the starting 18 last night for a laugh  :inquisition.

Agree FFV, Sheds should be the sub. While Sheds will go down as a club legend and Ross is no A-grader, dropping an inside ballwinning mid for Sheds (v.2022) is an odd decision. Why weaken our midfield depth after the past two wins in a row?

At least Maurice stays in.

I don’t understand why Gibcus is playing. Has lost confidence, didn’t set world on fire when dropped to the twos and we have Ben Miller - a defender - in the ruck.
I’d have dropped Gibcus, put Miller down back and give Sammy Ryan a crack.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

I like having a more mobile second ruck that can compete in ruck contests, go well around the ground and fill in at both ends depending on what is required. For me I’d persist with the nank/Miller combo for the remainder of the season and five Ryan some opportunities next season.

As for gibcus I do agree. Has faded as the seasons gone on which is understandable. Assuming dusty and grimes are recovered in time for finals I’d bring them back in for Gibcus and edwards with edwards being the medical sub. I think that’s our best 22/23 at this stage with everyone healthy.

This is probably the team that I have liked most this year. If stack and RCD were playing I’d be all over it. But it’s a critical game, if we win we make finals. I’m just hoping Maurice has a big impact as he usually does and sonz continue to hold his own. GO TIGES
