So it's all your fault, TK .

2-4 for me in my lifetime although the two wins I was too young to remember  :P.

Neale being sat on and having very little influence so far.

One of the the few things I don’t like about Dimma’s coaching - his refusal to tag dominant players.

Agree Willy. It no longer works and he’s not caught up yet.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

We're better than both these sides. Should still be going this season

Yep pmac. As much as it's hilarious seeing the Dees go out in straight sets, there's going to be a number of Tiger players kicking themselves even more tonight for screwing up last week. Melbourne were gettable as tonight showed and this year was there for the taking  :P.

The game tonight also showed why we want to add Taranto and Hopper. You need multiple ballwinning mids with the new rules. We were too reliant on Prestia to be the extractor just as Melbourne were too reliant on Oliver (with Petracca hampered by that leg/calf). Whereas Brisbane had multiple ballwinners (Neale, Berry, Bailey, McCluggage) who eventually got on top as a group in the second half. Neale got off the chain after being held in the first half and had another 10 clearances.

Just watched the last play again  :help

Balta and Nankervis are 100% responsible for not killing the ball. :pullhair
Both of them limpwristed it with the softest tap right into the arms of the only forward within 5 metres.  :facepalm  :facepalm :facepalm

Tarrant looked to have excellent body contact on Daniher except for one major schoolboy error he wasn’t goal side of a left footer  :facepalm :facepalm :facepalm :facepalm :facepalm :facepalm :facepalm :pullhair :pullhair :pullhair :pullhair :pullhair

We have some really dumb footy players

This was worse than the vs Gold Coast worst 90 seconds of footy.
Worse than the vs Collingwood worst 60 seconds of footy.
Worse than the vs GWS worst 30 seconds of footy.
worse than the vs Fremantle worst 20 seconds of footy.

 :banghead

P.S. all this wouldn’t have mattered if Lynch just kicked the goal with a normal drop punt considering he was 5 metres out  :banghead :banghead

Tarrant - 194 games played
Lynch - 212 games played
Nankervis - 121 games played
Balta - 63 games played

Considering who were the players that fluffed it on the night and their experience makes it even worse

I wonder if they can sleep at night knowing it was their own fault. I know Balta probably hasn’t even thought about considering his interview after the Fremantle draw.

If I make an error or even think I’ve made an error in my job it effects my sleep. I find it very difficult to sleep knowing my error caused the problem. Fortunately, the more experienced I am the more I don’t make the basic schoolboy errors of my early days it just doesn’t happen as I’m conditioned not to do them it’s part of my psyche.

It’s a wonder how so many experienced players can let this happen at the most crucial point in the game. Just kill the ball should have been the only intention.
It’s mindboggling.

You forgot Riewoldt.  He just got in the way and made things worse

That's what irked me this season our seasoned players we're talking 3 time premiership players making silly mistakes after each other.

Barrett stating the obvious in his 'Sliding Doors' column today:

IF ...
many Tigers were seen curled-up in a corner last week after the drama with the ARC in a loss to Brisbane in an elimination final...

THEN ...
those same people probably remained in that same state after the Lions got hold of the Demons in a semi-final. It wouldn't be a stretch to argue strongly that Richmond should be playing Geelong in Friday night's preliminary final at the MCG.
