Rate a Tiger's year - Jayden Short?

Next up is Short.

Jayden in his eighth year played 16 out of a possible 23 games to take his career tally to 153. He missed 3 weeks from rounds 3-5 with a calf injury as well as doing a hamstring in the Brisbane game in round 16 which saw him miss another 4 weeks. Shorty's most memorable moment in 2023 was kicking 5 goals in the space of two weeks without having a single possession inside our forward 50. All his goals coming from beyond the 50 arc against Freo and St Kilda in rounds 13-14.

7. A good/solid year despite being moved around a bit.

Wonder if it's worth playing him HFF.

I gave him a 6. Started the year pretty good and there were just some patches where he was in absolute red hot form. Was a real weapon with his long range goals. He didn’t quite get continuity after his hamstring injury which was a shame

Gave him a 0 to balance out the ludicrous 10 that either WP or Machine gave him. Take out the 5 long range goals in a row he kicked from 5 shots across two matches and I'd say my rating is at least closer to the mark. :shh

Short definitely , don't think Vlastuin being 30 next year would fetch enough in return to justify losing his experience - still need to keep some of the old heads to teach & guide the kids .... :shh
