AFL looking at having 3 Gather Rounds (9news)

The AFL is already developing Gather Round plans for 2028 and beyond when @FC_Tasmania comes in.

The proposal states…

- 3 Gather Rounds per season for a total of 19 games

- Gather Round 1: Vic/Tas across Labour Day weekend (including Labour Day match)

- Gather Round 2: Sydney across Easter holidays

- Gather Round 3: Perth OR Adelaide, alternating annually. In winter school holidays.

- Clubs participate in two of the three Gather Rounds + 22 other H&A games per year (24 total).

- Preliminary plans for games at the WACA & yet-to-be-built Moore Park venue in Sydney, Showring Oval.
