Club Corner - July 31

* No doubt a disappointing result. St Kilda had our measure from early on and kicked amazingly straight. 22.1 at one stage.

* 10-11 senior players not playing makes it difficult against top sides. Missing players from every line hurts.

* Nothing wrong with Chubba surfing as he's done it the past 5 years. Just bad luck and one of those things that seem to happen when things aren't going well.

* Browny only a 2 week hammy. 3 weeks worse case scenario.

* Need to show in the last 5 weeks that we have improved. Match or better the 10 wins of last year.

* Three 100 point losses - similarities is we've had key players out and the side hasn't be able to step up.

* People have the right to be critical of us for falling away. That's why the next 5 weeks are important to show supporters we have improved.

* Only positive was Richo returning to form after his wrist injury.

* Wins against the Pies and Port away can earn you some respect but these losses blow all that away.

* We haven't decided to contest or not any of the reports at the tribunal.

* Rainesy - we need to consider whether we should contest to keep him in the RS award. He deserves to remain in the running.

* Simmo - if we contest and he loses he gets 2 weeks instead of 1 week for an early plea. In play helps but we need to consider what we'll do.

* Staff - leaning towards challenging as we believe he had no other option.

* Talked about kicking the winning goal for Coburg. 40m out on a slight angle but it was very windy. Most scary kick in his whole career but it went through.

* Said he should have kicked 9 but 7 out of 11 isn't too bad.

* Only 8 RFC players played. Best - Patto at CHF and Hughes up forward and JON down back.

* He has ruled out getting a senior game but it's up to the coaches. Not the biggest bloke at Richmond. Similar size to McGuane.

* Talked about his time in the VFL ressies due to the 12-10 rule. Finally got his chance in the seniors. Mentioned Angus and Casserly now playing in the ressies although Cass is sore again.

* Said "they" want him to play low at FF/forward pocket and Hughes high and further out.

* Next game on ABC TV versus Frankston at Coburg City Oval this Saturday 1pm.

They then replayed interviews from Tommy about his time as coach and Billy Barrot to divert attention from the loss which Andrew Kruse admitted to lol.
