today was a very educational episode in the history of the RFC, especially in terms of moving towards a new future. if the coaching panel arent smart enough to understand then what can we do, but im betting Plough and co. will move on some of the players who played today. My list I reckon was 99% spot on on non future RFC players- I hope the club has the balls and energy and creativity to do the best they can to get an early pick. North I reinterate are suckers, Im 99% certain that they will fall for one particular trade. Maybe my analysis is wrong however who knows....the next month will show plenty about the future of our club.

Wallace seemed ticked off about us being undermanned and used it as an excuse. He said he asked the match committee as they were standing on the ground after the game which side would do better - the 22 today or the 14 sitting in the stands. He then reeled off the names ... Browny, Newman, Cogs, Gas, Kellaway  ;), Knobel, Hall, Hartigan, Meyer, Thursfield, ... and said he smiled when reporters from Perth told him during the week we had a chance with 6 Eagles out.

Did anyone see what happened to Sugar in the first five minutes of the game...copped a knock to the head under the pack in the forward pocket, Punt Road End. Stayed down a few minutes and seemed groggy for a bit after that...

I'm sure the umps didn't  ::). Of course they had no influence on the game but some very odd non-decisions made today. Can someone explain why Joel wasn't paid that mark first deep in defence then not a free for over the shoulder?  ???

Not sure what happened to Sugar. He did a okay job on Judd in the first half.

Paddy kicking the kids footy into the point post lol

Ch 10 just showed Plough talking about Judd. When Sugar had Judd for 3 quarters he got just 11 possies. When Lids, Tambo and Foley rotated on Judd in the 3rd quarter he got 13 possies and 3 goals  :o. Tezza said he did it to give the young guys an education and to make them realise where they need to get to.

Ch 10 also showed just why it wasn't our day. Tivs tripping up and twisting his ankle when running the warmup lap before the start of the game. Then Paddy picking up a kids footy that had ended up on the ground and when he tried to kick it back into the crowd through the goals he kicked it into the point post and it bounced back over his head and back onto the field :wallywink.
