Pick 8 safe as Freo walks away from Tarrant?
« on: October 13, 2006, 10:20:02 AM »
Brian Waldron on SEN has just said his info is that Freo has said it's all too hard with Tarrant and Solomon and walked away from those trades. Apparently this might also have to do with Tarrant only wanting to go to Freo if Solomon goes too.

If that's true then we should not cough up pick 8 as Freo don't require it to then ontrade it.

Instead of stuffing around on Polak our club should be wheeling and dealing to get a couple extra of picks by trading Krakouer and Tuck ffs.

Well just to confuse things, according to the SEN reporter at the Dome, Freo and the Pies have arrived there and are behind closed doors now.

Hudson now saying the talk at the Dome is Freo has walked away from Tarrant. So Waldron may be on the money.

Hudson is now saying the Tarrant deal is almost done :rollin. They are still finalising whether Polak is involved or not and a mixture of swapping 2nd, 3rd and 4ht round picks.

Now Hudson says he's been told now it's more unlikely than likely. He says he's got no idea :rollin.

Lets leave the Tarrant deal to just two clubs...Then we can do this:

3rd round pick to Ess
Solly to Freo
Pollack to Richmond :gotigers
My parents bought me a Richmond jumper and enrolled me in a junior footy clinic in 1981...look at me now.

we gave up our pick 8 and 3rd round pick for polak, so in effect we traded places with freo but i think we also exchanged  a draft spot withg teh pies

Well, Solly did end up at Freo for pick 42...if only we held our nerve for ten more minutes...

We are now going backwards. I doubt we will make the 8 next year and I cant see us matching it with the likes of Hawthorn down the track and going on Essendons history at remaking squads they will go past us in 2 years. Weve lost the plot.

Geez Ramps, anyone would think we were delisting Lids, Tambo, Polo, Cogs, Rainsey and Browny whilst also being barred from the draft outright the way you are carrying on...

u will think differently in a yr or 2

did u know the hawks offered 2 second rnd draft picks for thornton, and teh blues knocked it back. the hawks have no idea and all these kids they have drafted only 1 or 2 will become good players , they rest will fold and be duds

not every kid in the draft will be a winner
