2nd semi, Geelong ran us close. Our only close game in that finals series.  Tempany got injured.

Because they are Geelong and overrated themselves as usual lol.

Our loss to South in the round 22 gave them top spot after we had been on top of the ladder for 15 weeks straight. We then showed the rest that the finals are a brand new comp. On top of 1967, it gave the Pussies another reason to hate us forever and to have a sook like Polly .

I was just a tacker and had no-one to take me because it was out at VFL Park - MCG I was allowed to go by myself but not VFL Park

So I locked myself in my room and listened to the Captain & the Major on 3KZ on the wireless

The 4 lots of public transport and 2 1/2 hour travel time from the heart of the western suburbs to Arctic Park is no excuse WP  . What a crap place to get to when you were a kid living out west .
