I didn't go (too young  :( ) but that's the game that sealed the flag in hindsight as the Pussies choked in the Prelim. KB went nuts. Kicked 8 didn't he?

LOL @ Sam on the bench on his way to 300 games.

Date: 13-Sep-1980 Att: 65,303 Venue: Waverley Park

Richmond  3.2   7.3  10.6   14.11 95
Geelong    5.2   7.4    9.4    11.5 71

How the hell did Geelong lose to Collingwood the next week?

Because they are Geelong and overrated themselves as usual lol.

Our loss to South in the round 22 gave them top spot after we had been on top of the ladder for 15 weeks straight. We then showed the rest that the finals are a brand new comp. On top of 1967, it gave the Pussies another reason to hate us forever and to have a sook like Polly ;D.

I was just a tacker and had no-one to take me because it was out at VFL Park - MCG I was allowed to go by myself but not VFL Park ;D

So I locked myself in my room and listened to the Captain & the Major on 3KZ on the wireless :thumbsup

Those were the days when we had a good record at VFL Park  :-\.

The 4 lots of public transport and 2 1/2 hour travel time from the heart of the western suburbs to Arctic Park is no excuse WP  :rollin. What a crap place to get to when you were a kid living out west :P.
