Before priority draft picks came along, winning the wooden spoon was scorned upon by all and sundry and if you knew a friend who supported the team that won the spoon you would give it to them big time especially if they were Blues or Pie fans when they each finished last a few years back
.
However does this still hold true? With priority draft picks is their still the "shame" of winning the spoon or do supporters just comeback with the line "we've got the top picks in the draft mate and will be back up the top of the ladder and going for the flag in a couple of years time!"
I notice in the Hun today Peter Schwab is targetting the Hawks to beat us and the Dogs to finish ahead of us on the ladder. Would you really care if we finished last?
