Who swore?
« on: April 24, 2007, 01:10:37 PM »
Roger Merrett, in today's Gold Coast Bulletin, reckons a Richmond player swore at the umpire at Friday's night game.  Merrett, in all his wisdom, is asking if the player in question will be penalised as did happen to Eagles Michael Braun who used the f-word on live tv.  Merrett says that the umpires were wired and "the Tiger's view came across clearly as he told the umpire to 'have a (expletive) look at the replay' on the MCG's big screen".  He then states what's good for one should be good for another.

I don't recall hearing anyone swear on tv.

tambling iirc muttered a swear word but not at the umpire

but if merret wants to get all high and mighty, what about micky O from sydney, he quite clearly said the f word rhyming with truck!!

but who gives a f anyway, they are just playing football and we all know footy does fire up the emotions

merret should be shot

I think the silly old twit has got the wrong game  :stupid. I'm trying to remember which game it was on the weekend but an ump definitely told the offending player he didn't need to swear.

Even if a player did swear, it was during the game and not afterwards while giving a victory acceptance speech that the whole crowd was listening to ::).
